We've always loved this place and have been making a point to come eat here for years. I'm never disappointed! Very popular restaurant. Good old down-home cooking. My husband's all-time favorite meal to get here is the cheeseburger. Mine is the Tuesday or Thursday Thanksgiving plate special! Although one day we went on a Wednesday and the special was the country style steak and that was so tender and delicious! The pecan pie was probably the best I've ever had. Cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Very clean, nice people and children friendly.
Sunset Restaurant is hands down the best spot for breakfast! The food tastes just like home—warm, fresh, and comforting. Every bite feels made with care, and it’s the perfect way to start the day. Highly recommend!
I’d say the food was just so-so. Although i here that the breakfast is phenomenal!! Will come back for that. Service was excellent and prices are more then fair. Was happy to find a lunch restaurant open past two ;p
Delicious food, family friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend stopping here. We stopped in for lunch, but the breakfast and dinner menu looked really good as well. We all left happy. Excellent food quality. Tip: cash or check only are acceptable payments, but they do have an ATM.
Nice southern style hometown place to eat. I had the Thursday lunch special which was 8 bucks and change. It was great with meatloaf mashed potatoes and turnip greens as my sides. I had a little mashed potatoes and gravy with each bite of the meatloaf just the way I like it and boy was it good. The sweet tea was good and not overly sweetened. Desert was warm apple pie which was just a tart and vanilla ice cream. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They don’t take credit cards but an ATM is onsite and personal checks with ID are excepted but that may be for locals only. Oh, and the service was awesome and so very friendly.
